In the west of Tenerife, pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins can be seen all year round. The stretch between Tenerife and the island of La Gomera is home to around 30 dolphin species. It's also common to spot the smaller inhabitants of the Canary Islands like flying fishes and sea turtles.
Boats are not allowed closer than 10 metres, but curious animals will swim to the boat themselves, so you can get up close look of them.
